5 Ways Children Can Make A Difference To The Society
19 February 2018

Apart from enrolling your kids in one of the best CBSE schools in Mumbai, parents also need to find meaningful ways for younger children to contribute to service projects and community initiatives. As children grow, you need to help them develop empathy and support good causes – so that they can make a difference in the world.

There are plenty of ways younger kids can make a difference in the society, starting today!

Here’s what can be done:

1. Plant a Tree
Trees make earth a healthier planet. Trees improve air quality, conserve energy, prevent water pollution and soil erosion, provide a canopy and a habitat for wildlife and shield life on earth from ultraviolet rays.

We need trees now more than ever, and by planting trees, kids can bring a substantial change in the environment for years to come.

2. Blood Donation
Blood is the common bond of humanity and compassion that unites us together as one community. Blood donation not only rebuilds the lives of millions of people who face medical emergencies, but it is also a kind act of gifting back to the society we live in.

Even though your child is probably too young to donate blood, one way to get your child involved is by hosting a blood drive at your work, church, or child’s school or daycare.

3. Feed The Hungry
The biggest reason why many people are hungry across the world is because of poverty. However, by a simple act of kindness and generosity, we can create a world where no one goes to bed without food. This is an affordable approach and it has many positive knock-on effects.

Moreover, when kids understand the importance of feeding the hungry they will feel happy, blessed and more satisfied with life than those who don’t do.

4. Encourage Education
Education is all about empowerment. It boosts economic growth, reduces poverty, promotes gender equality and leads to better health and survival rates.

If all the youngsters take part in educating illiterate people around us, they can make a huge difference in the society. Moreover, this act will create a sense of responsibility among citizens for sustainable development of our country.

5. Volunteer
Volunteering allows you to connect with your community and make a real difference to the lives of millions around. Even the smallest task can bring a positive change in the society. By the act of volunteering, kids will get a chance to meet new people and learn new skills. It will not only broaden their social network but will even boost their career in future.

In addition, volunteering will add fun and fulfillment to their lives and will give them the peace of mind, body, and soul.

Our world is desperately waiting for a change. If everyone in this world undertakes at least one social responsibility, then the world will definitely be a better place to live.
